The first Berlin Collective video screening was an engaging and even slightly magical event! American artist Madeline Stillwell presented a selection of recent video works, documentation of her sculptural performances and installations. This was followed by a lively discussion, moderated by host Mira O'Brien, the Berlin Collective Berlin Director. The event took place in her studio building in Kreuzberg.
More of Madeline's work can be seen here http://madelinestillwell.com
After the conversation with Madeline, all guests were invited out into the garden for a surprise performance by artist and musician Mark Golamco. Mark was visiting Berlin with his viola, and treated us to some enchanting songs!
As guests trickled back inside, we screened the feature film "Pina" by Wim Wenders. We look forward to continuing this series, pairing artists with feature films and performances!
